For example, Manuplex designed, trialled and will manufacture a specialist door catch plate for Shoalwater Bay’s facilities. This catch plate, a simple 3D printed part, means that when Defence personnel kick through a door, there is only a small plastic component to replace rather than a full door frame.
The catch plate itself only costs a few dollars and is easily changed out, compared to the time and materials-intensive work of replacing a door frame.
